Error while uploading roles.

Hi All,

I am trying to upload roles in RE as per the steps mentioned in config guide.

I just followed and completed all the pre-requiste for mass role import.

But when i am trying to upload txt file, which i downloaded from SAP system thru transaction /VIRSA/RE_DNLDROLES.

I am getting error "Error in processing role infomation. Role not imported".

Please help me in resolving this problem.

Infact after posting the message, i realized about the info file.

So i was able to upload the role successfully.

Hi Pravin,

here's what you need to do:

- create the role attributes (Business Process, Sub Process, Project/Release)

- create the download file in SAP via RE_DNLDROLES

- create the role information file (manually)

Format: tab delimited (role name, business process, sub process, release)

Z_AP_PAYABLE FINANCE ACCOUNTS_PAYABLE ALPHA_RELEASE

Z_AP_CLERK FINANCE ACCOUNTS_RECEIVABLE BETA_RELEASE

From the error message, it seems you have not created the info file.

Helo Praveen,

One of the main reasons for the same is the format of the files you upload. Check the format of the files which you uploaded again and also the names of the business entities in both RE and CC.
