I have created a new Z Planner Profile and create a Z Layout for the General Controlling --> WBS elements: Cost element/acty input. Now I wanted to make the one of the Parameter as Mandatory. How to do it.

the parameters entered in the layout should be all mandatory for example use layout 1-701 in CJR2, you will not be able to proceed without entering all variables

can you let us know which is the particular parameter you want to set as mandatory

also what variables are you using in your layout

I have created a Z Layout for Planning Cost Elements. For the overview screen I have created Total Capex Qty, Unit, Total Plan cost and Average Unit Cost. Average Unit Cost in Formula Driven without Input and rest all are input. I want Unit to be Mandatory as with out this the system should throw error before Period screen is called.

Go to the layout in change mode, from menu select Extras>Variables>Variable Definition, check the indicator Optional/Obligatory.
