Hi folks,

due to security issues we have to change the passwords for the sap systemusers sapsid and sapservicesid in the Active Directory.

How does a change affects the work processes of the sap system? Or in other words which steps are necessary after changing the passwords?

Thanks for your help.

Stefan

Hi,

In a domain installation you can change password of SIDADM and SAPServiceSID whitout do anithing in SAP.

The change does not affect SAP work process.

Only check The users that START SAP SERVICEs in windows.

Antonio.

After changing password of sidadm and SAPSERVICESID.

You have to Change password of SAPOSCOL and SAP<sapsid>_<instance no.> services.

Open property of SAPOSCOL service -> click on log on tab.

Change password to new password in password and confirm password.

same way procced for SAP<sapsid>_<instance no.> services.

After completing above please download SAP Tools for MS SQL Server go through with SAP Note 683447 - SAP Tools for MS SQL Server.

Hello Nikunj,

thank you very much for answering my question.

Last question from me: There are no other steps to take? Just change the services you mentioned and run the sap tools?

If it's so my question is fully answered:-)

With kind regards

Stefan
