Role of Functional Consultant

Hi PM Experts,

Can anybody tell me the roles of PM Functional consultant or any functional consultant in version upgrade project. How this version upgradition project will be processed ( activity sequence wise) ?

Hi Vijay ,

There are basically two types of the upgrade that client may opt for during the version upgrade .

=> Functional & Techinical upgrade

=> Technical Upgrade

Usually client opt for Technical Upgrade to save time & money ...

In technical upgrade first SPAU & SPDD activity is done by the technical consultant ...then for functional perspective we need to check whether all the processes are working fine in migrated new version developement system.

For funtional upgrade you need to check all the new functioanlity that is been added through release note & find all the Z-developments which will no longer be required due to this ...

This is just a very brief introduction to upgrade activities...
