Hello,
let's assume that you're running a central instance with the DB on the same machine.
On Windows usually you don't need to change the SAP parameters as 'Zero Administration Management' is used. If you want the SAP system to allocate more memory at system start you may increase parameter PHYS_MEMSIZE. See also https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/88416
Other tuning option is to increase the SAP buffers if you see many swaps in ST02. There are many different parameters and it's not possible to make recommendations here without having a deeper look into your system. This also applies to DB tuning. You can check the settings/performance in ST04 and may consider to increase some areas like data buffer, shared pool, ...

Hi Tushar,
It's 32bit...right.
So in case of Windows OS, set the 3GB option so that the application part will
get the desired memory(may go till 2.7GB). If your H/W is 64bit architecture, so
why don't you go for 64bit kernel as well so that there won't be any degrade in system performance.
Suggest to check SAP Note 110172 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283037
SAP provides EarlyWatch and GoLive Services, so why dont you book one service for a system performance check, it will definitely help you.
SV-BO-REQ is the component for booking this services.
Let me know incase any conusions.

We also need information about
- Kernel-Version
- OS-Version
- Your actual Parameter-Settings (RZ10, RSPARAM)

Hi,
What is the OS ?

hi pathak,
I think you need to observe performance of your system first for couple days before changing some parameter.
You need to make sure that you have enough free physical memory (using ST06). If you don have some free physical memory than you can consider changing memory parameter on database level and/or SAP level.
You could also paste your current parameter here so we can analyze together if you want some help here.
