usage decision

All,

I am trying to do an usage decision thru QA32 and QA11.

But it is giving error and not allowing to do usage decision.

This is a fresh server, I have done no settings in spro. All are standerd.

MM01,PO,GR done , insp lot created. But UD not allowing.

Is there any special setting for UD?

What can be the possible resons for this?

please advise.

hai ,

Check the status of inspection lot, that should be in REL status.

otherwise we can't record RR & Ud for the particular lot.

Dear PS,

If the lot status shows "CRTD..........", then the lot is not released. To release a Inspection lot pls follow the steps.

let us assume that you already created inspection plan.

Use transaction QA02---->Enter lot no & press enter>Origin tab>Change start & end date to current date--->Inspn specification tab>tasklist/spec.->Sample->smpl.----->save

Now, the lot has been released. Before you do this ensure that Inspection plan is available. Otherwise create it first then, do all this.

Now you go for UD using QA32. Any further clarification pls post details.

hi,

Before going to UD check wheather results has been closed or not.

next go to UD select edit button on the tool bar click on confirm certificate receipt.

check wheather u have maintained the catalog in qs41.

if u still get error reply back.

HI,

Please do UD code , for that through QS41 by using catalog type 3 prepare the code and code group ,

prepare the selected set f for the catalog type for the plant .then we will be to do the usage decision.

what error message it is showing

may certificate received decesion u have not given before giving UD

on UD screen go to edit and accept the receipt of certificate.

I haven't done uasge decisions for any lots.

Also I dont have any certificates took as my control key.

Error coming is :

'The function you selected cannot be carried out.'

After that 3 boxes are appearing at right side ,saying , ' Detailed Info' , 'status display' and 'cancel'.

Below left , there is red triangle indicator, 'Access usage decision'.

please tell me whether this has anything to do with my authorization or any config is missing.

I am very new to QM.

click on the ' Detailed Info' and let us know what is tells you.

One of reason is that you might have already done Usage decision for that inspection lot.

please check status of that inspection lot
