What is the Job QXDARECVR doing on the DB4?

Hello,

I ask me, if it is normal that the job QXDARECVR is using so much I/Os?

At this time the r/3 is running very much LSMW migration jobs.

Hi Carsten,

most likely this is a job to handle CCMS-related requests, such as collecting the table and index size information for transaction DB02 or the database monitor information for transaction ST04. You could check the joblog of this job for hints. If you see a message CPC2206 "Ownership of object AS4CCMS01A in QTEMP type *USRSPC changed", then it is a job to collect information for DB02. This job needs to look at the description of each table in order to find the table size, the number of rows, the number of deleted rows, potential damage, and the timestamp of the last successful backup.

Alternatively it could also be a database shadow process in a 3-tier setup. In that case, you would see a message SAP4000, for example "Connect from workprocess w4 on as0021nt_CHB_64".

Kind regards,

Christian Bartels.
