Hi,

No, the patch you mention:

> 10.2.0.2 Patch 18. (p7213942_10202_MSWIN-x8664[1].zip)

is called a minipatch and it is installed over 10.2.0.2

The sequence you must follow is

  • install 10.2.0.1

  • install 10.2.0.2

  • install 10.2.0.2 patch 18

If you read the README it indicates the level where yoi have to install it.

hi Nikung,

I am not asking for patch for 10.2.0.2. I am asking for Oracle 10G 10.2.0.2 software. First I have to install this, then install the patch. I have the patch already with me.

Hello,

I'm quite lost about what you want:

If you read my previous reply should be clear for you:

The sequence you must follow is

> * install 10.2.0.1

> * install 10.2.0.2

> * install 10.2.0.2 patch 18

10.2.0.1 is the BASE software.

10.2.0.2 is a patch set that must be installed on the BASE software

10.2.0.2 patch 18 is a "minipatch" that must be installed over 10.2.0.2

You already have installed the BASE software.

Then you need the patch set 10.2.0.2, it can be downloaded from the location mentioned by Nikunj Thaker

In that location you can find the BASE software:

> 51031678_1 ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows 1 of 5

and the patch set:

> 51031725_2 Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 Patch for Windows IA64, I386, X86_64

you do not need thatservice.

I wouldsimply delete it or disable it.

to delete:

Start -> RUN

CMD

sc delete OracleGTP102iSqlplus

hi,

I am getting the library error once again. So I deinstall oracle, updated the registry and try to reinstall oracle. I have installed oracle 10.2.0.1 and apply the patch 10.2.0.2 (51031725_2) after upgrade the Opatch version from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2.5 using oracle universal installer. In the copy files for RDBMS stage I am getting the error Error in writing to file E:\oracle\GTP\102\bin\oci.dll; The process is used by another process. I have stopped the OracleGTPSQLplus service from the active services. When I checked the installation log file I get the following error. Pls help me to sort out the issue.

Exception String: Error in writing to file 'E:\oracle\GTP\102\bin\oci.dll'. [E:\oracle\GTP\102\bin\oci.dll (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)]

Exception Severity: 2
