Free Goods - Exclusive

Hi SD experts,

I'm trying to set up some Free Goods - Exclusive condition through tcode VBN1.

The calculation rule is : proportional

The free goods category is : 1 (with item generation)

But when I create a quotation, the system does not create a new item.

Could please explain to me what are the possible causes of that or refer to a link of a similar issue ?

Hi

free goods will work for rush orders any thing in VOV8 with sales doc category C free goods will work

Check whether you are getting it in rush orders

If not getting pls check imgbasic functions-free goods---condition technique for free goods

In that last img activity ACTIVATE FREE GOODS DETERMINATION

Like pricing procedure here you have to link sales area,Dpp,Cpp wilth free goods determination procedure of NA0001

check this i have a feeling you would not have done this hence not getting in sales order

Be sure in the pricing procedure which you are using in your sales document you have R100 condition type with requirement 55 and alternate base value formula 28

Free goods in sales order is picked through this condition type only

While creating condition records in VBN1 on the left top you should take inclusive and in the line item of condition record you have a field free goods next to calculation rule

In that you should take exclusive

Whatever you give here will reflect in sales order that is in the line item

If you mention exclusive here system will take 10 + 1 in sales order

If you mention inclusive here system will take 9 + 1 in sales order

Hi

Goto VBN2, select your condition record and change the Free Goods Category to 2 (existing is 1 as per your thread). Save the record and check by creating the order.

In quotation , free goods are not supported with or without item generation .

The Free Goods can be determined only in Sales Orders (sales documents with SD document category as 'C' only). It will not work in any other sales documents like Quotations, Contracts etc.,

I'm sorry, I meant sales order.

I've created a new sales order type ZSO in copy to a rush order.

Can this be the cause of what I've explained before ?

In VOV4 , check the item category determination with document type ZSO.

Say for example

ZSO + FREE + BVN = BVNN ..This has been maintained in VOV4 or not , please check it.

But as you are talking about rush order , i am telling to check for rush order and not for standard order because . for standard order OR it will be there. check for the rush order in VOV4

SO is just the naming that I gave to rush orders so that my client doesn't get confused.
