Deleting Sap's default account group.

hi.

i am using my own account groups in sd component. some people says that deleting default account groups of sap (the same which we use while creating customers) creates problems afterwards. is that true? what kind of problems do we get. is there any way to get rid of these unwanted account groups?

Hi

Delete account group is not suggestable and recomendable , because in standard account groups all the mandatory fields have been set.

Its better to copy the standard and rename the same , then we can modify according clients requirement.

but my problem is that....i have created my own accounts by copying sap's defaults account. now user get confused while selecting account groups when creating new customer. user dont wants irrelevant account groups.how to get rid of them?

As you said you have copied the standard one , then you can delete the standard if not require.
