Tax data in customer and material master

Hi all,

In the customer master, i have observed that tax data is maintained for one than one country sometimes.

for instance in the material master,we sometimes have the following :-

country tax category tax claisiifcation

denmark mwst 1

USA mwst 1

similar setup is maintained i think in custome master.

could somebody explain what it means and how this data is helpful in calculating taxes. i mean does the countries above gets copied in sa

Hello sonu

you are wrong

The customer master in the general data address details the field country is very important

You can give only one country there

Based on the country the tax settings are pickes

I am not sure about what you are talking about MMR

But in CMR there can be only one country

Dear Sonu,

In addition to Mr.Ramanath's information

You can sell the same material in diiferent countries so when ever sales transaction will takes place for those countries system will pick the taxes based on the country condition type which is maintained in the materail master data.

Because there will different tax sructures in the differentt countries.
