Deleting a DC from Track - SAP Note 864515

Hi all,

I am trying to delete a DC from track. I followed the procedure as per above mentioned note but I am facing a problem.

In DTR perspective, under DC's _comp folder it is showing some local files and folders. So when I tried to delete its subtree it didnt allow (which is Ok as per Note).

So I deleted local contents under:-

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\.dtc\0\DCs\<vendorname>\<dcname>\_comp

After this, DTR perspective didnt show any local files but still generic activity failed while checkin saying "can not checkin due to not mounted elements"

So when i tried to create project and sync sources, its again creating local folders & file under _comp.

Kindly suggest me a way out.

Hi,

Take a look at this thread:

[Unable to delete empty DC from the DTR |;

Basically, you have to use a custom DTR Client, instead of an auto-generated one, to perform the delete.

Please let me know if this solve your problem

Hi Amey,

To create a custom DTR Client:

1.- Open the Design Time Repository perspective

2.- In the main menu, select DTR -> Create Client

3.- Fill the parameters

- Client Name: <The client name>

- DTR Server URL: <http://[nwdihost]:[nwdiport]/dtr/>

- Local Root: <The folder where the files will be sync>
