Variant value not effected in Production Environment

Hi Friends,

In Production Environment , SAP_REORG_JOBS is the Job name for Cleaning the job logs with ABAP program RSBTCDEL , Variant Client 000 (set for 7 days)

But the customer wants to jobs logs to cleanup after 9 days, so changed the Variant value to 9 days..... But it is not effected. Jobs are not logged for 9 days, but for only 7 days.

The Same scenario is in Test Environment, where variant is set for 15 days ( set earlier),and it gets effected.

What may be the possible reason..

hi,

Go to SA38

enter program name:RSBTCDEL

press: shift+F8

click on variant

enter new variant name, click create

enter days val in " older than (days)" field

go back, enter description, save variant.

now reschedule the job with new variant.

Hi,

make sure you give correct advice. RSBTCDEL is superceeded and should not be used any more since it can actually delete batch jobs you still need. Use RSBTCDEL2 instead.
