dear all

IN sap What is the better option

When user left the oragnization ,

case-1 Lock the User ID and also enter the validity

case-2 Delete the user Id

in sap Audit time lock user count or not .

PLease advise

This depends on what your organization requires (in sense of auditing).

I would ask this question in the Security forum at

As Markus said : deleting or locking depends on your security policy.

Locking :

Advantage : You preserve this way user account data

Disadvantage : in large organisation you can have issues with user names : the can be the same for different users (depend on used naming convention). Additionally : number of user records grows....

Deleting :

Advantage : smaller list of users to maintain

Disadvantage : lost user data.

Licensing Audit : locked account are not consideret as "payeable"
