DB growth in client copy

Hello Gurus,

I am evaluating execute a client copy with customizing option, but i dont know if my disk space availability is enough.

My DB size is 1 TB and the disk available is 500 GB.

in yours experience how much in percent will growth my DB?

what is your suggestions?

You can run a client copy in "test mode" to estimate the size.

Hi,

for R/3 4.70 an empty client, I mean without data only with customizing, it will be less then 50 GB.

I can confirm for a ECC6 SR3 system, fresh install ABAP+Java with usage types ECC, EPC (enterprise portal Core) and BP-ERP, the database size is 98.6 GB (71511 tables).

The SAP_CUST client copy to a new client adds another 37.5 GB.

(client copy statistics - 5.3 million lines copied, 55904 tables, runtime 4.5 hours)
