Importing existing NWDS 7.0 project into NWDS 7.1

Problem regarding importing of existing NWDS 7.0 project into NWDS 7.1 CE sp06.

When trying to import webdynpro project into 7.1 using Import -> Existing projects into workspace. I seem to lose all the model classes. This results in no model classes in the Web Dynpro Explorer view and no option to edit the custom controller which access these model classes.

Any suggestions to a possible solution would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Stangely enough - I didnt provide a google link. My link was to an SDN Migration Plugin that would help you to migrate your project from 7.0 to 7.1 using NWDI.

Either ways - the reason that you are losing all your classes for the model in the Import->Existing Project into Workspace option is that the Models are generated by the wizard and they area all based on another project (the providing/provisioning project).

However, If you really want to import the project into CE 7.1 - you better setup the NWDI for NetWeaver 7.0 and use it along with the Netweaver CE 7.1 installation that you have now.

Other than that - there are no solutions that I have.
