Hi,

Need: I need to create a license key for Solution manager under a seperate installation number

Problem: Component XX-SER-GEN-CONTR is not available to be selected while creating service message. The compnenet description reads as

"XX-SER-GEN-CONTR Component is closed. Find more information in Spotlight News"

Required: How to raise a request for creation of new installation number & where can i find the spotlight news.

Hi Ganesh,

I would suggest XX-SER-LIKEY as a component for a new installation number. You might also check

http://service.sap.com/licensekey for information about how to apply for one and install one.

The spotlight news is on the start page http://service.sap.com/support, but I can't see any news about XX-SER-GEN-CONTR. Probably it was published some time ago.
