Hi

I have added some Z tables to my repository, and for getting the values from R3 thru FTP i also have added corresponding ports and its map in the console

though am not able to get the values automatically to the Zports that i have added.

Can anyone tell me the process to get the values from R3. for Ztables which i have created

Hi Shifali,

You have to use the MDMGX to extract the check table data from ECC and import it to MDM.

Simillarly you have to use the MDM_CLNT_EXTR to extract the Main table data ie the Master records from ECC and then Import it in MDM.

Now when doing this process, you have two options

- Either Extract the Master records from ECC to the local system and then manually import it using the MDM import manager.

- Or Extract the Master records to the Created Ports ready folder by making it FTP enabled and then configure an Import map to import this data directly in to MDM using the Import server.

You need to make the ports ready folder as FTP enabled to access it.

Also you will have the create a map for the importing. For this you will have to for the first time select the source file and the destination and then perform all the mappings (Field and values) and then,if you want to process the importing automatically, then after doing all the settings to not press the import button.

But rather save the map and mention the map in the port.and let the MDIS procee it.

However it is not a best practice to import the checktable data using the automatic import,as its a one time activity .

You can go through the following links which will explain you more about the MDMGX and the MDM CLNT extraction process.

Hope It Helped

Hi Shifali,

Compare your configuration settings with the below document

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0740b31-a934-2b10-2e95-af225299...

Also note that you have specified PORT CODE and not the name while confuring in R3

Hi Shifali,

1. Check whether you are able to extract the data for the defined ports on to your local machine.

2. If this is working then configure as it is done for all other predefined ports.

Hi Shifali,

Besides Naren's points you can recheck on the xsd structure you are using. The xsd should be same as the xml file coming from R/3. To check this:you can change the processing type to manual and then put the xml file in the ready folder and try to import manually.

there should not be any error.

You can also check the error log for the type of error.

Hi,

Check these settings:

1) Check server or repository status means whether MDM server and import server are running or not

and also check repository is loaded or not.

2) Port must be inbound type, processing type should be automatic.

3) Check port status:

If port status is empty then there is no file in the ready folder and if it is blocked, there is structural

exception .You should fix it before go further.

4) Check MDIS Configuration settings:

Server, Login and Password.

5) Make sure that Port format matches with source file format.

Thanks
