number range after given range finish

hi experts!!!!

at the time of go-live we assign number range to sales document by VN01

e.g. for OR seq no 01 and interval 000000001-------0000900000

after some years or months it will get consume

then

what is the right solution to assign new no range

1) to change document type and give different no range or just change seq no and assign other no range

or any othre opinion

No need to change the document type you just try is there any possibility to extend the number range.

For example in your case OR seq no 01 and interval 000000001-------0000900000, try to icrease 0000900000 to 999999 for the same seq no.

hi,

there are two options are there

1. Archive the data or

2. maintain number range which does not fall between interval 000000001-------0000900000

means , you may maintain interval as 001000001-------0001999999
