Hi experts,
Is't possible to create SO for parts that has ROH material type?
Should the item category be "NORM" or "WMPP" in material master?
If business requirement sometimes says to block creating sales orders, how to control this?
Please advise.
Rgds,
Priya

hI,
You control based on valuation class.
If you have seperate valuation class assignment (Material Master - Accounting 1 screen) based on material types (Eg:ROH,Halb,Fert), do not maintain FI assignment in OBYC for Trancation GBB -(Offsetting Entry for inventory posting).

Dear Priya
As per Central Excise regulations, to my knowledge, you are not suppose to sell ROH from a manufacturing plant with the same material code with which you have inwarded. If at all you want to sell any ROH, it should be differentiated with material code.
To control selling ROH, you should not extend sales views to users who has authorisation of MM01. For that, go to OMS2, block material type ROH and click on blue lens on top left. There deselect the field "Sales" from "User departments", so that in MM01, if material type is ROH, sales tabs cannot be seen.
As and when there is a need to sell raw materials, as I said above, the same can be copied and renamed with a different material code with material type as HALB. Of course, the item category can be NORM.

Hi
You can Block the sales document in VOV8 , there assign X ,
Then you can no longer to create sales order with that document type.
Hope it helps you.
