diff B/w Bw 3.5 & BI 7.0

In bw 3.5 we create Infoarea->next we characters IOC and Key Figure IOC, and under Appl Component we create INFOSOURCE and Assign Datasource and we load the data to infocube

how can we load the data from flat file to infocube in BI 7.0

Hi

same like as 3.5, but small changes transfer missions and Data transfer process(dtp) instead of transfer rules and updated rules.

Process:

1.Create application component

2.Create data source and pick flat file data in to data source

3.create info package should not schedule

4.Cerate info area and infocube

5.Right click on infocube choose transfermissions.

6.create DTP and activate

7.Schedule infopackage,check monitor ,execute DTP ,Moniter dtp,chosse administer data traget icon and select the content and choose field selection for out put....

Hi,

The procedure is a little different in 7.0

1. Create a datasource (instead of infosource) in datasources

2. Create a cube

3. Create transformation linking the datasource and the cube

4. Create DTP in RSA1>infoprovider area> expand your cube..right click on your datasource icon and create a DTP

5. Create a infopackage under the same datasource and load data.
