1) Units Group

Assuming that you are referring to the field "UoM Group", please note that If you want to restrict the Unit of Measurement customer wise, you can do so by maintaining this UoM group. To maintain this group, go to IMG -- MM --> Purchasing --> Order Optimizing --> Quantity Optimizing and Allowed Logistics Units of Measure --> Unit of Measure Groups

2) ABC Group

Already the link provided by Mr.Amit is self explanatory

3) Customer Statistics Group

Only if you maintain "1" in this field, all your sales information will get updated in the respective tables

4) Account at Customer

This is mainly applicable to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or manufacturing units, where the manufacturers will maintain in the respective master, the customer / vendor code for information purpose.

Point 4 & 5 are already explained

thanks

Thank you Amit once again for the inputs.

hi lakshmipathi please clarify this doubts

1) Units Group

Assuming that you are referring to the field "UoM Group", please note that If you want to restrict the Unit of Measurement customer wise, you can do so by maintaining this UoM group. To maintain this group, go to IMG -- MM --> Purchasing --> Order Optimizing --> Quantity Optimizing and Allowed Logistics Units of Measure --> Unit of Measure Groups

-> please provide me an example scenario

3) Customer Statistics Group

Only if you maintain "1" in this field, all your sales information will get updated in the respective tables

-> please tell me what kind of information will be updated in which tables, and what is the purpose ie use with this update information. suppose if i have given the option 2 ie GROUP2 or + ie masked then what will happen.

4) Account at Customer

This is mainly applicable to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or manufacturing units, where the manufacturers will maintain in the respective master, the customer / vendor code for information purpose.

-> customer code means the one which we get after saving the xd01( cmr)? or do you mean that in another master they will input the customer information and when saving it that number will be placed here in the sales tab- acct at customer field. If so which master record they will maintain?

1) In material master, after selecting "Additional data", you have the option to maintain different unit of measurements. If you maintain here, it will be applicable to all customers. So for any particular customer, if you want the end user not to choose a wrong unit of measurement, you can control this by maintaining the required one.

3) All LIS reports like MCTA, MC+A etc., will get update only if you maintain the value here

4) Let us assume, you supply some automotive components to Maruthi. Maruthi will allot a code to you which has to be indicated in all your billing documents. Based on this only, all your payments will be processed by Maruthi. You can maintain this.

thanks

account at customer: used in intercompany business. when create intercompany billing at one side, the system can create invoice verification at another side automatically. it's the field to indicate the relationship of the two company for this purpose. you should input here the vendor (supplying plant) number.

item proposal is a relatively static function to give proposal, you create a list in advance for the customer and then assign it to customer master. while the product proposal is a dynamic function, the proposal it gives out at order could be different every time, according to predesigned logic.

product attribute in customer master data is worked with product attribute in material master data. that enables you to define which customer can not processe which material according to the attribute.

hope that helps.

The same way, you may find various documents to read/ understand. Once gone-through and then any specific query comes to you, you may put the same, in to forum; else, this would be difficult for any one to explain Basics, like this.

Amit
