SD Pricing in Projects

Hi,

We are currently handling a project for a Engineering construction company which was into construction of Penstocks, Gates for dams and also into Hydro electrical works. They will get projects from various institutions and will do the same. Based on the project the price is estimated and the company will send the quote for the same. My query is to in what way the pricing is to be done in this case. The price is not fixed for a product here. If you take a project X for eg, it may require 5 gates each with different dimensions and measurements. it is specific for that particular project only. I need your valuable inputs on the same.

hello, friend.

although i am far from being an expert, may i make a very rough suggestion...

most likely the module Project Systems (with or without SD) will be needed. you will need a configurable material to represent the project, and this material will have characteristics and values that will list the options available, and the prices to match. how detailed the configurable material will be will depend on the project requirement.

an alternative would have the configurable material in SD and MM without PS.
