Define Serial No Ranges

Hi,

I need to cinfigure the Number Ranges for the Serial Number of the ISU device while creating Device through IQ01.

e.g. For Demand Meter the Number Range should be D000001 to D999999.

Kindly let me know where the Configuration needs to be done in IMG.

That is Serial Number for the Equipement Numbers.

I want to define Serial Numbers for SERNR or GERNR in EQUI TABLE

Mase is the table to store last serial number for the material.

After the R&D i have found out that its possible only through one of the User Exits avaliable.

Do you have any alternative Solution for this,

Try the "Serial No. profile" in Sales: General/Plant tab. in MM02

In IMG go to SD> basic functions>Serial Number>Determine Serial Number Profiles

Any one knows the user exit to define the number ranges for serial number?

I am looking for an exit to define the numebr ranges for serial number at the materia llevel when releasing the process order.

EDME10L1- it is releavnt for goods receipt transactions. I need to trigger the serial numebr at the process order level.

IQSM0008- it is used to validate the number range for serial number whether it is allowed or not.
