Hello Experts,
While trying to save a sales order, there is an error relating to costing "The field MBEW-HKMAT is defined as a required field, it does not contain an entry". How can this be sorted out?

Raj

Dear Raja,
Check with:
T. Code: OMSR
Check for the Field: MBEW-HKMAT with Sel Grp - 41.
in the same line, there is an arrow-button, click it.
In next screen, maintain entries as "Optional" from "required".
Best Regards,
Amit

Dear Raja,
As per my knowledge,
MBEW-HKMAT contains Material Origin, maintained in Material Master.
just check for field selection 235, what are all fields have been maintained?
In my opinion, there would be just one field: MBEW-HKMAT, and it won't be required entry. If you maintain it "required" entry; users need to maintain it in MM01/ 02.
Best Regards,
Amit
Note: For more, consult your MM-Counterpart.
Hi,
Have you seen your incompletion procedure.
Just go to Tcode OVA2 and check the setting of
Sales u2013 header
Sales u2013 Item
Sales u2013 sched. Line
Go upto fields level in all the setting and search for the field MBEW-HKMAT
Where ever you find that field then just remove it from the procedure
If you require that field then you have to maintain the entry for that field.
Regards
Raj.
Hello Amit,
As I see it, there is no material master costing view maintained for the said material, so is this the root cause of the entire problem? does it have any bearing on anything else, if no costing view is maintained?
will the subsequent documents be updated, info flown into the documents?
Regards,
Raj.
Dear Raja,
Can't say confidently as there might me many other orders with same material, in to your system.
If this could be the first record, I could comment.
I suggest, to consult with MM-Consultant for accurate reason for the same.
Best Regards,
Amit
Note: Material Views are maintained in to T. Code: OMS2, for Material-Types.
P.S. Once, find the accurate reason for the problem in to your discussion, Please share with all of us.
