Integrating SAP BI 7.0 with SAP MII V.12

Hi,

I have a question regarding integration between SAP MII (V12) and SAP BI 7.0. Would you please help to answer this question?

There are 2 options as far as I understand to integrate between BI and MII

1) SAP MII can be integrated to SAP BI using SAP PI

2) OLAP connector that uses MDX( OLAP query acts as a data source)

Which option is better?

To use option1 ( SAP PI) can we report in MII without loading data into BI?

Does option 2 (OLAP connector) supports all complex levels of reporting using BI?

I am a bit confused by both of your questions.

1) If you do not have data loaded into BI, why would you want to integrate BI and MII?

2) What type of reporting are you referring to? Frequently, data resides in BI and the reporting can be performed in either MII or BI. Often it is done in MII so there is a layer between the data and the user. But if you are using some specialized reporting in BI, why do you even need MII?

Please add some details to your questions so that I may understand them better.
