too much buffering in St02 ,what are the effects on the system and how to solve this problem

The bufferring in ST02 would result in slow system performance. Where you find the swapping. Do you see it on the program buffers, table buffers or export/import buffer.

Check the buffering history. It will tell you if the swapping is daily or is frequent.

Check the Free space and and free directory entries fields on ST02 transaction.

As per my experience, you usually endup increasing the individual buffers. You can find the parameters by clicking "Current Parameters" button.

In general, too much buffering will slow your system down.

Hi,

You may see swaps in st02, system performance may go down.

Check the buffer parameter settings. refer to SAP Note 103747.
