inprocess inspection lot

Hai gurus,

I had created a first operation as in process inspection for a halb material,where i had given control key

as QM01 and assigned MIC and and sampling procedure in routing, when i release the production order

inspection lot is not created, pls guide me where i had went wrong.

Hi,

As mentioned by Ashok , you need to maintain in Material Master -

---

>QM View--->Inspection Set up as

03 In-process insp. for production order

In addition, you need to maintain under Detailed Information on inspection type on same tab page:

Tick the check box Post to inspection stock and then enter.

Now on main screen, you will find Inspection setup check box is ticked, further you need to maintain

Under Procurement Data tab,

Tick in check box : QM proc. active

and respective control key in QM Control Key field.

Save all above settings and then you will get the required result.

Hi,

In addition to above 2 suggestions, u can also check the settings for

1. Maintaining inspection type 03 with menu path -QM -

---

>>>>Quality inspection------>>>>Maintain inspection type.

2. Basic QM settings at plant level with menu path QM-->>>>Basic settings--->>>>Maintain setting at plant level

3. One more last option can be tried is to maintain inspection type in the OPL8 - order type dependant parameters for ur order type - in this case your lot creation will be applicable to all such order with that order type.

1) maintain in Material Master -

---

2)In addition, you need to maintain under Detailed Information on inspection type on same tab page:

- post to inspection stock check box not available under detailed information of inspection type, but available at main menu which i had activated.

3)Under Procurement Data tab,

Tick in check box : QM proc. active

and respective control key in QM Control Key field.

- i had done as per above reply, but inspection lot not created only production order is created with

status as ILAS inspection lot assigned

Hai Mr Patil,

Under this i found the following observation:

a)the tab inspection plg(task list usage) and

b) tab operation data for material specification( control key/opn/ short descp) for this not available.

i tried to create new inpection type 03 by deleting the old one but system does not allow to add or

append the above two tab, so the control key under the above tab may activate the inspection lot.

Also other inspection type are all having the above two tab, this tab is missing for 13 - inprocess

inspection for rem also

Dear,

You need to maintain PP04 control key in routing in the operation where you need to do inprocess inspection. check in QA32 with inspection type '03' in selection screen?

03 type will be recorded in header.

Hai Mr Bhramakumar,

Thanks for your valuable reply, problem was resolved as i had maintained qmo1 instead of pp04 in routing,

also the inspection lot was available in qa32, where result recording and ud was done and finally the material

had posted without any problem.

Dear,

Please check in the OPL8 transaction whether inspection type has

been assigned

If the inspn lot could not be created the system has

to set the status ILNC

suppose you have not maintained the QM data in your material master properly.

Please check the settings and come back.
