How to reset the SLD login password

Former Member

Hi Guys,

While I am trying to access the integration system (SLD) by giving the 'http://nw40:50000/sld' and using 'XIUSER' , pwd 'SERVER',

I am getting this error......

403 Forbidden

SAP J2EE Engine/6.40

You are not authorized to view the requested resource.

Details: No details available

so, I was reading through some threads in this SDN,and they told.. run transaction 'PFCG' and do MASS COMPARISION.

I did the same and which has synched the user profiles.

but at the same time I think it had reset the password of 'XIUSER'.

now I am trying to login into SLD using the same address as above, with the XIUSER and 'SERVER' as the pwd,

the 'SERVER' password is not working.

If you guys have any idea please help me.

q1)Does this MASS COMPARISION resets the password ?

if so how could I create a new password.

q2)Did it make the XIUSER it self invalid ?

If so how can I make the XIUSER active.

q3)how can I get the userid , password working so I can login into SLD.

I have no clue to proceed further. Guys please help me.

Thank you,

Ranjit.

Hi,

Since I could not login into SLD using XIUSER, SERVER .

I ran SLDCHECK. This is what I have got.

********

Exchange Infrastructure: Test LCR connection

Properties of RFC destination SAPSLDAPI

RFC host: %%RFCSERVER%

program id: APSLDAPI_XI3

gateway host: w40

gateway service: sapgw00

Testing the RFC connection to the SLD java client...

RFC ping returned exception with message:

Error opening an RFC connection.

Summary: Connection to SLD does not work

=> Check SLD function and configurations

Now checking access to the XI Profile

Properties of RFC destination LCRSAPRFC

RFC host: %%RFCSERVER%%

program id: LCRSAPRFC_XI3

gateway host: NW40

gateway service: sapgw00

Testing the RFC connection to the SLD java client...

RFC ping returned exception with message:

Error opening an RFC connection.

**********

Please advice if it is wrong.

Thank you,

Ranjit

Hello Ranjit,

That doesn't sound good.

I've seen one typo: for the RFC destination SAPSLDAPI the program id should be SAPSLDAPI_XI3 instead of APSLDAPI_XI3.

Could you access the Runtime Workbench, or do you experience the same problems?

Did your XI installation worked before?

Please check the UME configuration. In Visual Administrator go to cluster - server - services - UMI Provider and checke the value of the parameter ume.persistence.data_source_configuration. It should be dataSourceConfiguration_r3_roles_db.xml.

For the RFC destinations. Have you registered the programs at the gateway within Visual Admin as described in the Installation Guide? What is the status of these destinations in Visual Admin - server - services - JCo RFC Provider? Are they running?

Hello Sunita,

Thank you for your message.

I just looked into XIUSER roles, and it has both the SLD related roles like SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER,SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER as you have asked.

I think restting the password in SU01 trx is for SAP login user.. do you think it does also work for SLD login user.

or do you think both these users should be same so, if I reset the password in SU01 which should also work for SLD ?

please let me know.

just for your info:

before running the 'MASS COMPARISION' I was using same user name 'XIUSER' for both SAP and SLD logins. They were working fine.

thank you,

Ranjit.

Hello Ranjit,

in an XI installation you only have one usermanagement, the one from the abap stack. The j2ee engine reads the users from abap via rfc. That means, if you reset the pwd in su01 it is reseted for j2ee applications, like SLD, too.

Have you checked if the user is logged in su01? Are you repeatedly asked for the password?

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, user is in SU01. After I changed the password in SU01, I logged off the SAP and logged back into SAP with the new password.

But, I could not login with the same user and password into integration engine like SLD.

any other way to get the password working so I can log into SLD.

any ideas.

thanks

Ranjit.

Hi Ranjit,

Please check whether the user with which you are trying to log on to SLD had the SLD related roles like SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER,SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER.

Also mass comparison does not reset the pwds.

You can change the password in transaction su01, incase you think you have forgotten the same.

Cheers
