Implement Web Service on PI's java stack

Is it possible to implement a web service and deploy it to the PI's java stack?

it should be possible. since the stack is java Web AS

Requirement is not clear.

PI 7.0 will not allow i think. But PI 7.1/CE 7.1 does have ESR to provide this functionality.

We have a PI 7.1 installation at the company and I want to define a service in ESR and implement it in Java and deploy it to the PI 7.1 server. Is this possible?

Well i understand that you looking for Web Service on PI java stack............means you are looking for transporting of Non-ABAP objects........which can be done using ENhanced CTS/CTS+ with reference to the document Enhanced CTS for sap NWXI7.0 SPS 14 found in SDN.
