Problem in deleting records

I am trying to delete the records in master,which am not able to,it is saying as ,the records involved in workflow.

But there are no workflows.

I have deleted the workflow first and then tryed to delete the records,thought it is saying that records involved in workflow.

Is there any other way to delete the records

Hi Shifali,

The possible reason for the records not allowing to be deleted even after deleting the workflows is that.

The records when entering the workflow must have passed to one of the Roles/Users of the workflow ans may be still pending with them even after deletion.

Try the following:

- Login as owner of the workflow and try deleting the workflow if nay exist.

- Login as every other Role/User of the workflow and see if there are any pending task for them and delete if any exist.

- You can also check for the Checkout option as mentioned.

If nothing works try this,

- Select the record,and go to the record detail tab.

- Try editing any field of this record.

- It may give you a message,just edit the record and if it allows you to do so,then try deleting it after teh successful modification.

This is a suggested workaround,check to see if it works.

Hi Shifali

To add, also check if the records are in Checked out mode. See all the versions to find this. Do check in and then delete, it should work.

Hi Shifali,

Login into the repository as the workflow owner and check the workflow tab. If you delete the workflow from workflows table this does not delete the launched workflows. If there are no more workflow records in the workflows tab in Owner's login then reload the repository with Update Indices option and then try to delete the records.
