Dear Hanumant

There wont be much difference in copy controls except for the following:-

Inquiry to Quotation

- Pos/neg.quantity will be negative

- Copy quantity will be "A"

- Pricing type will be blank

- Copying requirements "021"

Quotation to Order

- Pos/neg.quantity will be plus

- Copy quantity will be blank

- Pricing type will be "A"

Dear Hanumant,

Inquiry

Customer asks for detailed information about specific goods, in particular their prices.

Quotation

Legally binding agreement to deliver specific products or a selection of a certain amount of products in a specified timeframe at a pre-defined price.

A quotation has a validity period. Within the validity period, the customer has the option of placing an order within the agreed conditions with reference to the quotation, or to cancel a contract.

Sales Order

Once, the Customer confirms the quotation and places an order; an Order with or w/o Quoation) is gets created.

All legal transactions, like Delivery, Invoicing is done with reference to Sales Order, only.

In short

Inquiry is an internal document, created based upon Customer enquiry. Based upon Inquiry, if Customer requests, can send him a quotation; and once ges Customer's order confirmation, booking is done within Sales Order.

Transaction Codes

1. Inquiry (IN): VA11

2. Quotation (QT): VA21

3. Sales Order (OR): VA01

Copy Control setting beween Inquiry --> Quotation and Quotation --> Sales Order; are maintained in T. Code: VTAA

Best Regards,

Amit
