Usage Determination

HI ALL,

Plz explain me the use of Usage in Item Cat determination. How its trigered and in sales documents so the Item cat is changed ? please tell me the where and how its works?

I know its works like for text item and service item. but how system know usage tobe consider, and how the Item Cat determine based on usage?
