Dear Architects,
1) I understand from the road map and release strategy of SAP, end of 2009 both Portal and CE will merge and it will be available as one product as 7.2 .Is this correct ?
2) Currently we are running Enterprise Portal 7.0. Most of our applications are webdynpros. And we are using KM for document management. To make use of the CE functionalities such as Business Rule Management, BPM,AJAX, etc, we are planning to migrate out portal landscape in to composistion environment. And for the KM components we wil have federated portal.
For example if we have three servers for portal we will migrate two of them in to composition environment and use for webdynpros and leave one server as Enterprise Portal and use it for KM and federate these.
Is this a correct approach. By doing this will there be any issues ?
Our objective is to utilise the CE 7.1.1 functionalities with the existing landscape. Any suggesstion welcome.
