NWDS 2004s local deploy

Former Member

Hi all,

I have just installed the new NWDS7. I think that now is possible to deploy applications locally. Do you confirm?

In this case how much rams the pc needs? And what procedure follow to configure the system to local deploy?

Debug functionality is enabled?

My issue is very urgent. Thanks for your help.

Hi Vito,

It depends if you installed the J2EE server as part of the process. If you used the Sneak Preview edition of the NWDS, it contains the server, otherwise you just have the development tools, not the execution environment. Generally to install the server, it will take many hours, whereas the Developer Studio is usually only ~30mins.

To test if there is a server running on your PC, point your browser at http://localhost:50000/ and see what happens.

In order to run the J2EE, 2Gb of RAM is suggested. The deployment target for your NWDS is set in Window>Preferences>SAP J2EE Engine.

Cheers,

Jonathan
