I have got this error while installing WAS 6.40.
Can any one help..
Error:
MDB-05036 Error when creating sqldmo SqlServer object
MDB-05034 call to a threaded function returned "1'.

We usually install SQL Server Enterprise Manager prior to installing SAP and got this message when that step was skipped.
We have this error when installing NW04 SR1 on clean Win2K3 SP1 Server.
Turns out the problem we have is with the SAP CD and DVD we used. The source files we used, which resided in our server, turns out to be incorrect.
Additionally, most likely the sapinst version also makes a different.
