Using TREX to search in solution manager 7.0

Hi

Ive found note 750623, and am trying to follow that to enable full text search in solution manager.

Trex is installed on the same host as the solman system, version of solman is 7.0.

Seems a few things dosent match up ....

1. The IMG activities listed in the note dosent exist on the solman system.

2. according to the note you need a RFC connection to the TREX trying to execute -

ims_server_admin.exe, which dosent exist anywhere on the host.

Wondering if this setup is possible at all, or if the note is current...

Hello.

Make sure you have defined the RFC connection in TREX and the same RFC connection will be displayed in SM59 in SOLMAN 7.0.

Test the connection.

In trex check if all the services are up and running

Restart al the services.

If you done with this activity , can you please let me know few things

1. Can i install TREX on same machine i.e Solution Manager(SOLMAN is already installed and service desk basic, MOPZ etc configured. so can i install TREX on same CPU or not ??)

2. Is TREX installation required any kind of Licensing with SAP

3.What are post installation steps

3.How you integrate TREX with Solution database.
