Dear Experts,
Understand from one of the postings that Inspection lots cannot be deleted. Is there is any other way to remove the inspection lot from the system so that, the user should not able to see those inspection lots.
Can it be done through archiving ? Please explain the procedure to carry out this function.
Thanks,
DSL
Hi DSL,
Refer the link to understand the [Archiving Inspection Lots|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/8d/3e606e462a11d189000000e8323d3a/content.htm]
Archiving is task normally not performed daily. So as an alternative solution, you can remove the same from the selection screens like QA32,QA33,QE51N etc by implementing the selection profile as per the [This Thread|]

Hi DSL,
You are correct that an inspection lot can not be deleted out the system. If you do not wish to include the inspection lot within any reporting or QM statistics then you would need to cancel the lot, you can do this as follows:
1. Go to transaction QA02, enter in the inspection lot number.
2. In change view of the inspection lot click on Inspection lot within the menu bar then functions then cancel lot.
3. Once this is completed it will give the system status of LTCA (cancelled lot).
4. If you want to exclude these cancelled lots for reporting make sure when you run transaction qa32 that you place a filter on the system status field to exclude all inspection lots with status LTCA.
Hope this solves your problem.
