error message no. KT312:- Background processing incomplete;

Hi,

I am not getting "New Entries" tab when going through path:

Path: IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Definition --> Controlling --> Maintain Controlling Area

for "Maintaing the Controlling Area" with the company code".

System is giving me error message no. KT312:- Background processing incomplete; display only.

Please let me know how can i resolve this issue.

Note 137516 - Controlling area, version maintenance: '=KILL'

Certain changes in version or controlling area maintenance require checks which are very time-consuming and which can cause a TIME_OUT in online.If such a check is run in the background, online maintenance stays for so long locked for changing access keys until the job is ended.The job itself will cancel the lock indicator for online maintenance, if correctly processed.

Solution

You can cancel the lock indicator manually by entering "=KILL" in the command field. However, you should only do this if the job terminated and could not cancel the lock indicator itself.
