NWDS Galaxy

Hi,

I have installed the CE 7.1 EHP 1 WAS (Java only) and the accompanying NWDS (both 90 day preview editions).

Is this NWDS the same as "Galaxy"? Or do I need to download anything else?

Has anyone installed the Galaxy along with the preview edition of the WAS?

Hi,

This is an installer free procedure, you will have to do the following steps :

1. Unpack the NetWeaver Developer Studio Platform.

2. During the first start you will be asked for the your local Java SE runtime environment JDK 5.0.x javaw.exe (NWDS will not work with JRE and is not released for JDK 6.0.x)

3. After restart you will be prompted for your local update site, which contains the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio features.

Thank you. I've already figured that part out. It seems that the installer picks up the festures folder and site.xml only on the first try.
