SAP system copy error - ERROR: DbSlConnect rc= 29

Hi SAP gurus,

We have ECC 6.0 with DB^ version 9.1 on AIX 5.3

We are doing system copy From Production to QAS . at the time of doing export preparetion , It is giving me error in

ERROR 2008-11-19 11:35:20.343

CJS-30023 Process call '/usr/sap/T11/SYS/exe/run/R3ldctl -p /installcds1/T11_EXPORT/ABAP/DATA -l R3ldctlExport.log' exits with error code 2. For details see log file(s) R3ldctlExport.log

If i check R3ldctlExport.log,it is telling me ERROR: DbSlConnect rc= 29

I am not able to understand this RC. I already try somany different things. Please help me i am stuck from last 3 days.

Try updating the kernel with the latest R3ldctl and rerun the export

First of all i don't think it is DB connection problem as my R3trans -x & -d working fine.

I am running sapinst from root so you want me to set HOME parameter as <sid>adm ?

Hi Nishkam,

Run command

r3trans -d

it will generate a log file trans.log

Check that log file for database connection errors.

Hi Nishkam,

1) Exit SAPINST

2) setenv HOME /home/<sid>adm

3) Start sap inst and continue..
