Hi All,

I have IDES ECC 6.0 with Oracle database Installed. Now the disk space is full. I want to take the backup of the database files / Archive files and delete the same to get quite free space.

Please let me know what all the files I need to take the back up so as to delete it once done.

Hi Sayed,

For creating space move archive file to another disk.

Archive files are very important for recovery.

Rahul.

Use BRBACKUP...

DO NOT DELETE DATAFILES... It will indeed give you space back but your DB will become unusable...!

If you're out of space you're better of getting some extra disk space.

You can delete old kernels, old log files, traces.... if its a Demo system then you can delete offline redo logs... etc.
