Why communication management is more important as the number of people on the project team increases ?
Thanks
hI,
I suggest you refer the 'A guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)' published by Project Management Institute (PMI) which gives exhaustive and authoritative information on the subject.

hi..
im not sure if this is the best forum to post this thread.
but the previous reply was certainly very erudite and eloquent.
anyway to me answer is quite simple
as the number of persons involved in project team increases, it also becomes more difficult to keep communication channels in proper order. many times, due to large number of involved persons, communication does not reach intended receiver, or it gets delayed, or mixed up etc...resulting to so many problems. thus, the need to pay more attention to and even invest in commincation management increases as persons involved also increases.
regards.

Hello,
Communications management is the systematic planning, implementing, monitoring, and revision of all the channels of communication within an organization, and between organizations; it also includes the organization and dissemination of new communication directives connected with an organization, network, or communications technology. Aspects of communications management include developing corporate communication strategies, designing internal and external communications directives, and managing the flow of information, including online communication. New technology forces constant innovation on the part of communications managers.
Thanks
