We have maintained two inspection types in the Material master 04/08.When we do stock transfer from one storage location to another or we do stock transfer from one material to another with mvt type 309 a new lot is getting generated but the stock is in Unrestricted.but we want the stock to be in quality inspection.
Please check for the configuration of Inspection type 08 (default values of inspection type) and see whether Post to Inspection stock tick is maintained.
You are getting lot on the material to material transfer(309), that you do not want. Just deactivate the QM in the 309 movement type , then you will not get lot on material to material transfer.
