How to influence " GENRATION OF PASSWORD" in SU01

Dear Experts

in SU01 when i am genrating the password it is genrating password of 40 characters.

I want - the genrated password length should not be more tthan 12 characters.

Please let me know - how to influence this.

You can set the length of generated passwords. Follow the below link for the available settings.

Hi,

If you try to generate the password SAP takes defaut 40 character length. You cannot change it. Instead of that you type your intial password and create.

Not true. Try this: Once the system has generated the password (40 characters), truncate it manually to what ever length you want. Copy+paste this 'new' password in 'Repeat Password' field.

Of course, the truncated length should pass the minimum length parameter setting.
