Urgent - TO should be prevented from Picking when SO is open.

Hi Experts,

The issue is...

Transfer Order should be prevented from Picking, when the corresponding Sales Order is opened by others and a Blocked Message should be issued (pop-up) with the "User's Name" who has opened / is working on the Sales Order.

Is there any Config setting for this. ABAP program is the last choice.

What is the sense of this requirement?

Picking is executed with reference to the outbound delivery and the outbound delivery is the object that comes directly from the sales order (generally). When the delivery document is open for editing by someone it is not possible to execute the picking (of that delivery).

So, SO and Delivery are two different things. Please clarify your requirement.

(even if your requirement can e justified from business point of view I have doubts that you could achieve your goal by standard tools).

Yes, that functionality of error message pop-up showing the user ID (who has opened the OD) is working fine, when Outbound Delivery is opened / in change mode.

But in our old system, we were getting the same error message even if the Sales Order was in Change mode and we need that functionality back in ECC 6.0. -

Is it a Standard Functionality..?? or does it need ABAP development.
