quatation & proforma invoice

Hi Friends,

Can any one clarify me whether quatation & proforma invoice are legal documents or not

Dear JM

Quotation is a legal document but not proforma. I mean, if the hard copy shows "Invoice" but you have generated proforma from SAP, then it is also a legal document from customer angle.

Hi JM,

what you mean by legal?

if you are asking about relevance, yes ofcourse they are imporant.

quotation is for reference. you can track the record that against which quotation you have taken the order.

And performa invoice is for information purpose. You can use it n no. of times for notification purpose.
