No WebDynpro option in SE80 dropdown list

I installed the sneak preview successfully (after a few tries). When I go into se80, the option to create/search for a WebDynpro application is not available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire app server and db and the same thing is happening. I've tried to figure out the issue, but I'm coming up blank. Any suggestions?

Hi Brian,

If you installed the Java edition of the Sneak Preview, then the WebDynpro coding is done using the Netweaver Developer Studio (NWDS) which is a Java development environment based on the Eclipse tool. NWDS is a separate installation on the discs.

Hi Jonathan,

It's the ABAP Sneak preview. I have the Java sneak preview running on another machine and it is working fine.

Thanks,

Brian

Ok, so do you have the lastest SAPgui 6.40 patch level.

I think it is 15, but I could be wrong.

Brian, you definitly need the Netweaver 2004s sneak preview, the regular netweaver 2004 sneak preview will do you no good. Download and install and the webdynpro(abap) will be there in SE80.

Please remember to close your post when your problem is solved. Thanks.

Make sure that you uninstall the other one completely using the uninstall. Also make sure to delete the folders under C:\, sapdb and usr. Also go into registry and delete any folders labeled NSP or SAPDbTech.

Then install the 2004s version.

Thanks for the input. I deleted all of the folders/registry keys you listed and I am getting an error on step 11. The error in the log XCMDOUT.log is as follows:

Hopefully, it is the Netweaver 2004s. Have you also downloaded the SAPgui 6.40, as well as the lastest patch level for the same. You will need to do that as well.

Unfortunately, it was not Netweaver 2004s. I downloaded it a month ago and I'm just got around to installing it. I am downloading 2004s now and will install once it downloads. Hopefully the results will be better.... Thanks.
