DAA - Diagnostics agent is not starting

Hi All,

We have installed SR3 of Solution Manager 7.0 SP15, diagnostic agent is also installed during the installation since it is a part of SR3 of Solution Manager.

After the successful installation, Solution Manger Java instance is up and running. But Java Instance of Diagnostics Agent is not starting, It is always in yellow color.

This is the developer trace details of Java Instance of Diagnostics Agent(DAA):

Does anyone encountered this issue?

Help us to get rid of this problem.

Check if the following note will help you solve the

problem with the SMD agent:

1085790 Diagnotics Agent can't connect in NAT environment

(Do you have a NAT environment?)

Also make sure:

1) Please make sure the user/password provided in

Managed System Setup Wizard:

belongs to the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN group AND the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN group is

assigned to the "administrators" security role on the SAP-J2EE-Engine

security component, as shown in the attached screenshot

OR

has the "administrators" security role on the SAP-J2EE-Engine

security component (the assignment can be done in Visual Admin, using

the edit mode and "Add" button next to the "Users" frame, from the

attached screenshot)

2) User isn't locked. Please try to connect to smd on monitoring

server with the user assigned for the smdagent during the Sapinst

sequence.

We don't have NAT environment.

There is no attachment in your reply. You can forward those screenshots sanjai.prabuatgmail.com if you are anot able to attach with this forum.

FYI:

1. The user J2EE_ADMIN has assigned to role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN.

2. We haven't done yet Diagnostics Setup or Diagnostics Administration. Do we need to do anything with this first to start the DAA JAVA instance?

Now it starts but turns to yellow color immediately afte 20-30 seconds.

Does anyone know how to retain the start of java instance of diagnostics agent?

We uninstalled the SMD agent and installed again. It works fine now.

I am closing this thread.
