Customer-Material Info Records (VD53) and Customer Hierarchy

Hello!

Can Customer-Material Info Records (VD51/VD52/VD53 transactions) be used for partners other then Sold-to, e.g. ship-to (WE)? I have this question in at least two areas - Order Processing and EDI.

Also, can the CMIR have a one to many assignment. That is; a customer may have several different product codes that point to the same material in SAP.

Table KNMT has both Customer and SAP material as part of the key. Multiple customer materials ponting to the sam SAP material - not possible.

Dear Gennady,

In Standard SAP, it is not possible to maintain CMIR records for the Ship-to-Party.

If you need to maintain it based on Ship-to-Party, customization would be required.

It was very quick (and needed quick) response.

I'll keep this question as un answered for a while - maybe we can get some suggestions.

I believe VD53 can be adjusted to use with ship-to, even if custom development will be required.

Any thoughts on this?
